Using CAT Scans to determine the exact location of implants shortens treatment duration, while making exposure of the gums unnecessary. The procedure is free of bleeding, tumescence and post-treatment pain.

CAT Scan Assisted Implant Positioning precisely pinpoints the optimal location in the jawbone for implant placement, eliminating the need for jawbone augmentation that might otherwise be required.

Occasionally, the final permanent ceramic teeth might get attached to the implants even during the first treatment phase, immediately following the insertion of the titanium posts and abutments into the jawbone. The end-to-end duration of such a treatment is one fourth that of a “conventional” implantation.

Typically though, CAT Scan Assisted Positioning treatment consists of two phases. The first phase begins with a visit to your dental implant centre, similar to a traditional examination: a dentist assesses your dental and medical health, takes x-rays of your teeth, checks the condition of your jawbone, and explains the recommended treatment plan along with your personalized treatment timetable. You will be able to discuss the number of implants required and the projected cost of the treatment. Treatment starts with a CAT Scan, possibly on the very same day. Using the CAT Scan imagery, your dentist will generate a 3D CAD Model of your treatment, showing three-dimensional images of the implants in your jaw.

The CAT Scan images and the 3D CAD Mode of your treatment are forwarded via the Internet to a specialized laboratory in Sweden that produces personalized Medical Drill Positioning Templates. Your Template will serve as the master guide for your flapless implantations by positioning your implants with an accuracy of 0.004 inches (0.1 mm). In about two weeks, your Drill Template is completed; you may return to Hungary for the second phase of your treatment. Your implants will be inserted into your jawbone under Template guidance with unparalleled precision and ease.

Final restorative crowns or bridges will be attached to your abutments after a 5 to 7 days’ healing period, depending on your case, as determined at the beginning of your treatment. With that, your therapy is complete. All that remains to be done is to take care of your implanted teeth, just as you would your natural ones, and not to forget the yearly check-ups.
